Bridging the Gap

THE AUTHORS are all members of the English Faculty and of the Literary Didactics Research Group of the University of Algiers.<br> BRIDGING THE GAP is a practical guide to the understanding, enjoyment and analysis of the literary texts produced in the English-speaking world.<br>It is designed for non-native speakers of English embarking on a first course in Literature within the framework of a university English Studies programme. Though primarily intended for First Year students, it will be consulted with profit by Second and even Third Year students.<br> Also available is A COMPANIO TO BRIDGING THE GAP which is both a teacher’s manual and a student’s self-study book.
